GP Partner / Salaried GP required 4-8 sessions/week

Senior Clinical and Data Quality Administrator

  • 34 hours per week
  • 08:30-17:00 Monday and Friday
  • 09:00-15:00 Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday

We are a busy practice (7500 patients) with 5 doctors looking for a confident, reliable and professional data quality administrator to support our clinical team. Flexibility, great communication skills and a pleasant personality are essential, as is experience in working with the public.

The successful applicant will be able to demonstrate excellent organisational, administrative and IT skills in a fast-paced environment. You will be providing a high standard administrative support directly to the GPs including reporting and data collation. The post-holder will be required to work independently with a high level of initiative and decision making within agreed parameters.

Clinical Pharmacist Vacancy

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Clinical Pharmacist to join the West Berkshire Rural Primary Care Network based at Hungerford Surgery, joining a team of two in our PCN.

The Clinical Pharmacist is a patient–facing role with plenty of opportunities to utilise your clinical skills to improve the health of the local community; this will include developing medicines optimisation services in our practice. The successful candidate will have a role in managing long-term conditions, supporting hospital discharge prescribing arrangements, providing specific advice for those on multiple medications, clinical audits to improve patient care and supporting the GP practices involved to develop the clinical pharmacist role; clinical supervision and mentorship will be provided to help support the development of the role.

We are seeking candidates who are enthusiastic and adaptable to change, with excellent clinical skills and a good level of competence in their use of IT. Candidates should exhibit good organisational skills and ability to communicate effectively with a wide range of healthcare professionals and other stakeholders including patients, families and carers.

We welcome applicants from both entry and advanced levels; the latter will be an Independent Prescriber, performing face-to- face medication reviews of patients with poly-pharmacy, especially for older people, including residents in care homes and those with multiple co-morbidities.  The successful candidates will provide leadership on quality improvement and clinical audits, as well as managing some aspects of the practice’s Quality and Outcomes Framework (QOF).

Qualifications

  • Master’s Degree in Pharmacy (MPharm) or equivalent
  • Registered with GPhC
  • Member of RPS
  • Specialist knowledge through a Postgraduate Diploma and qualifications (e.g. clinical, community, therapeutics) or equivalent
  • Evidence of recent and relevant Continuing Professional Development
  • Independent prescriber status or a commitment to undertake the course, for which support will be provided.
