Ordering repeat prescriptions
Your GP will ask you where your preferred pharmacy is, this will be recorded on your medical records. When you order a prescription, your medication will go to your nominated pharmacy automatically.
The surgery requires 3 working days to issue and send a prescription, please check with your nominated pharmacy for approximate waiting times for dispensing. We would usually recommend requesting 5-7 days before you run out of medication.
How do I order my prescription?
The easiest ways to order repeat prescriptions are:
- using your NHS account (through the NHS website or in the NHS App)
- filling out a repeat prescriptions request form
- Tick the items you require on your repeat prescription slip (usually given to you at the time of collecting previous medication) drop it into the surgery during our opening hours or use our repeat prescription box on the wall at the entrance of the building during evenings and weekends
- Come into the surgery and complete one of our forms at reception
- using the GP online system: SystemOnline – you can request access by calling the surgery on 01488 682507
These accounts show you all your repeat medicine and dosage and you can choose the ones you need.
