The importance of hydration in older people
Hydration is a key component of maintaining a healthy body and it is particularly important for older people to drink enough, this is a key part of elderly care.
As well as affecting general health, dehydration can also lead to serious infections (such as urinary tract infection), make other illnesses worse or lead to physical injury as a result of a fall.

As part of our dementia friendly screening programme, on Monday 1 July at 11am we are screening a classic favorite On the Town.
This is a Dementia Friendly screening, designed to meet the needs of people living with dementia along with their families and carers.
With lights left on low and the sound reduced, there is also a short comfort break in the middle of the film and audiences can feel free to move around throughout or sing along to any musical numbers! should they wish to.
Below is further information about the screening and a short trailer for the film.
You can also find out more about the screening programme together with further listings here.Age UK
